About the Artist

Man viewed through rainbow prism

I am an explorer. My passion for blending photography with fine art techniques has been a lifetime pursuit. For almost 35 years I was a special effects and commercial photographer in NYC. During that time I fell in love with several different forms of expression: digital painting, photo impressionism, and photo montage. For the last 30 years I've explored these three directions. I began working with digital painting when the first programs were introduced in the early 1990's and have continued exploring the marriage between photography and the digital paint brush ever since.

Over 40 years ago, I looked through a bar prism and saw a world that reminded me of my Impressionist heroes: Monet, Renoir, Bonnard and others who knew how to bend light and vision. I use the prism with my camera to create my photo impressionistic images. My photo montages blend different sources to create arresting pieces inspired by artists like Georgia O'Keefe and my own imagination. My work hangs in private collections around the world. Enjoy my galleries and feel free to contact me with questions.
